As many of you may well know, school started Monday, and since today is my last day of classes I feel I should wrap up my entire week with a tumblr post (especially since I haven’t posted anything in a very long time.)

So, classes are ok. Philosophy 101 (Intro to Philosophy) on Mondays and Wednesdays, Psych 101 (Intro to Psychology, Arts 104 (Art Appreciation) and Hist 116 (African American History) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Not much happening since it’s the first week.

That being said I may not know if anything happened today or yesterday because I missed class. In that, I would like to point out, it is not school that I hate or dislike or whatever, it’s going to school that I loathe. I have to ride the bus to CCBC Catonsville, as opposed to the oh so beautiful University of Pittsburgh (which I attended last year) where everything is in walking distance. Buses here are nothing like Pittsburgh or DC. Here’s a list of things I’ve figured out thus far:

Buses in Pittsburgh are free with your student ID. All over the city. All buses. All free.
Buses in DC are $1.30 whereas buses in the Baltimore area are $1.60 with day-passes that are $3.50 (a real bargain, I must say. And that is sincere.), unless you ride the Express Buses, which are an extra 40 cents. That’s a lot to someone with little to no income, like myself.
The bus drivers in the Baltimore area are RUDE AS FUCK! >:|

All passengers on all buses in all three aforementioned areas are all the same, and they all make me feel highly uncomfortable. =/

That’s about it so far.

I say all this to tell you this. I missed the bus yesterday, and thus, I missed class. TODAY HOWEVER, I made the bus, although, I missed my stop. And the fucking bus driver wouldn’t stop, so I was IN Baltimore City, and had to trek my black ass all the way home. And because of this horrible ordeal I decided to invest in a bike chain. The money saved will go to my cigarette habit, which I’m still working on quitting, and other unnecessary necessities.

On another note, still related, but not pertaining to my ordeals, school bullying is getting out of control. Now, I realize that stopping it is an inevitable feat, but kids need to learn when is enough. One day they’ll learn; little Johnny Walker’s gonna get punch in the nose like he does every day, and come back the next day with two semi-automatic machine guns strapped across his teflon vest, with several pistols holstered to his belt and open fire in the cafeteria on Pizza and Pasta Friday.

I’ve found, there’s always 2 responses from the bullied and the bullies.

Bullied

I can’t fight everyone. I just have to show them it doesn’t bother me and they’ll leave me alone.
It’ll never stop. I have to do something about it. Brute force or otherwise.

Bullies

They deserve it for being losers.
Everyone else does it.

I, for one, am all for bullying, to a certain extent. It helps build self-esteem. It shows you how low people will stoop just to get the upperhand, which is training for the real world, methinks. It helps build thick skin. Shit like that. In essence, “it builds character.”

But physical bullying and mental/emotional bullying (which sometimes borders enslavement.) is a bit over the top. I think we should just stick to the name calling and maybe a light push so they’ll trip and fall. Leave it at that. It’s already embarrassing enough that little Susie Drischal has pimples, braces, is in band, and has no boyfriend. Don’t cause her to go insane and massacre her classmates and/or commit suicide. Because no matter what you may say, you’ll feel like shit if you survive the shooting and/or if they kill themselves.

TL;DR

School’s ok. I hate buses. I miss DC and Pitt. Don’t be so mean; only a little.
